This has been going on for the past three days (during which I have tried to update manually for may be 100 times, to no avail).
How can I have any security with no updates in three days?
If you recently installed Kaspersky updates, but you have not updated Windows in a while, there may be a compatibility conflict.
In Windows XP, Vista, and 7, click the Start button and click Windows Update.
If Kaspersky suddenly does not open in the usual way, the first thing you should do is check for an updated version of the software.
Updates may include patches specifically designed to correct the problem you are having.
It might seem trivial when tech support simply tells you to reboot, but there is a valid reason for it.
Sometimes a file or system process glitches or becomes corrupted while you are using the computer, shutting down an application, or shutting down the computer.
PS: Windows defender will be automatically disabled after installing KIS.
The Windows 10 compatible version (UK only) is 18.104.22.1684.
