DAY THREE: Leave Lausanne just after 9am to travel to Visp, where you board the Glacier Express for the beautiful journey through the mountains on the way to Chur, travelling past alpine meadows, dramatic glaciers and jagged mountainsides. DAY FOUR: Take a day trip on the Bernina Express, allowing you to enjoy one of the world’s most spectacular rail journeys whilst travelling to Tirano and back.
From here, continue to Innsbruck, the Austrian capital of the Tyrol region, then finally to the cultural city of Vienna.
Spend two nights in each of these destinations, before taking a night train back to London.
